I would love to say this is a favourite exercise among our members, but I think it is more of a love/hate relationship.
They love to hate it!
This is not only a great quad exercise, but also, if performed properly will increase range of motion at the ankle and help improve balance.
- Start with feet hip distance apart
- Step back with one leg and tuck your pelvis under so the knee is under your hips
- Keeping the back heel up high, slowly lower the back knee towards the ground
- Make sure the front foot stays flat. Push up through the front heel keeping your chest u
- Shoulders, hips and knee should be in a straight line as you perform the exercise
- Repeat on other side
