Not feeling up to gym today? Let’s face it, we have all been there. It is time to go to the gym and you are just not feeling the love. The idea of putting in the hard graft just seems too much. It is all too easy to just give in and stay at home on the couch and eat chocolate.
Here is a little technique that you can use to get over this.
When a full workout seems too much, just get yourself to the gym and do your movement preparation or a warm up routine. Treat it like medicine, something that is just going to make you feel better and not be too taxing on the body. Once you have completed your warm up, then re-evaluate. If you still do not feel like training, then go home knowing that you have at least done something. 9 times out of 10 you will find that once you have done your warm up, you will feel that much better that you will crack on and do your workout.
So, next time you feel like pulling the plug on your workout, go and do your movement prep work at the very least and you will probably end up having a great workout.
